Current video art from Beijing harks back to a predilection of a realistic, some what documentary style. Distinctively conceptual in approach, the artists are more interested in narrative identities. They question the historical process from which the new society is growing: where emphasis is on the individual than the masses, where emotion has taken the place of memory. This exhibition gives centre stage to a selection of Beijing's international famous young artists and one of their filmmakers.
